TeamViewer® Launches Version 7 for Mac®

Tampa, Florida, March 27, 2012 – TeamViewer®, one of the world’s most popular providers of remote control and online meetings software, today announced TeamViewer 7 for Mac. The the new version allows cross-platform online sessions between Windows, Linux®, Mac, iOS® and Android®.

Having released TeamViewer 7 with the brand new TeamViewer Online Meetings functionality for Windows and Linux earlier this year, the latest version for Mac OS X makes it possible for Mac users to join and host online meetings as well as carry out remote support sessions.

TeamViewer 7 for Mac OS X offers the following new features:

TeamViewer Online Meetings:

• Start and join instant meetings with up to 25 people
• Schedule meetings and send invitations to all participants
• Users can act as Presenter, Organizer and Participant; roles can be passed over within an online meeting

Video and Voice over IP (VoIP):

• It is now possible to share and view video both during an online meeting and a remote control session, making distance collaboration more personable.
• Integrated video and VoIP enables meeting hosts and remote supporters to connect with their clients or colleagues face-to-face, helping to establish a relationship of trust between the different parties collaborating remotely.

TeamViewer 7 for Mac further expands the high levels of desktop sharing functionality experienced in previous versions. TeamViewer can start automatically with system boot and run in the background. With TeamViewer installed, Mac users can establish an immediate connection by entering the ID number and password of the unattended computer. The software allows not only incoming connections but also outgoing connections to other systems.
