Why does my antivirus software come up?

TeamViewer is in constant touch with the producers of antivirus software. Nevertheless, it can happen that certain virus definitions report TeamViewer as potentially dangerous; as by the nature of the job it does (transmit screen and inputs from one computer to another) it requires a much deeper access to the system than a standard application

Solution:
Please update your TeamViewer to the newest release available within your major version. Also, please make sure that you do have the newest virus definition of your antivirus software.

If your antivirus software still reports TeamViewer, please send us an email containing the following information:

• Company name of the antivirus software producer
• Name of the antivirus software
• Version of the virus definition
• TeamViewer modul (full version, Host, QuickSupport, QuickJoin)
• TeamViewer version
