Göppingen, Germany, September 28, 2017TeamViewer®, a leading global software provider for digital networking and collaboration, today announces the resignation of its CEO Andreas König due to personal reasons. The Board has already started a careful selection process to find a suitable successor. Andreas König will stay in charge until end of the year in order to ensure a smooth transition.

Abe Peled, Chairman of the Board at TeamViewer said: “We are very grateful to Andreas’ for his major contributions, which have made TeamViewer a worldwide leading software and tech company. Due to his achievements in advancing the core product as well as identifying new business opportunities, TeamViewer is well positioned to pursue further growth. We are delighted to continue working with Andreas in an advisory role.”

Andreas König took over as the CEO of TeamViewer in May 2015 and played a key role for TeamViewers global growth story during the last two and a half years. Under his leadership, the company successfully strengthened and extended its position as a worldwide leading software provider for remote support. Andreas König also opened up new growth prospects for TeamViewer by focusing onto innovative ‘Internet of Things’ (IoT) solutions.

König’s decision to decrease operational activities is based on personal matters: “Together with my family, I decided to take a step back. It is now a good time for a transition. I am very proud of our success story at TeamViewer. The past two and a half years have been the most intense and exciting chapter of my professional career. Never have I experienced so many high-performing and highly motivated individuals. I am looking forward to supporting TeamViewer in an advisory role.”
