Unless you happen to represent the results of a highly successful science experiment, I can say with certainty that we have something in common. We all have a mother.
Without putting too fine of a point on it, it’s also safe to say that the woman you refer to as “mom” has a very special place in your heart. That being said, when was the last time you called your mother?
I can tell you exactly when I last heard from my mom, and this is a 100% true story without any embellishment. The other day, she sent me an e-mail melodramatically titled “I have a problem.” Now rather than explain what she wrote, I’ll just quote the message.
To first clarify, she had every intention of making me feel as guilty as possible. She wants to see more of her grandson August, and I live in Germany. I originally grew up in the U.S., and my mom now lives in Florida.
I have a problem. I am having problems not seeing August. Can you please send me a movie of August more often? I miss him, and that would help me.
Love to you all,
When I got home from work that day, my son was doing something quite cute (as usual, but I’m biased), and so I used my smartphone to make a quick video. I then tried to send it to my mom as an e-mail attachment, thus returning me to her good graces, but the email app refused. It simply stated that the attached file size was too large.
TeamViewer to the rescue
I launched the TeamViewer app on my smartphone, connected to my mother’s PC, and immediately transferred the file directly to her “Movies of August” folder. Unfortunately, I now have another problem. She found out how easy it is for me to shoot videos, including long ones, of her grandson and then send them to her right away from nearly anywhere.
No matter where you are today, this is a super easy way to send your mom personal greetings on this Mother’s day.
And to all the moms out there, happy Mother’s Day from TeamViewer.
