NEW: Network Traffic Monitoring with ITbrain Monitoring

We’ve added a new check to ITbrain Monitoring that allows you to monitor the inbound and outbound traffic of your network adapters.

Set a minimum and maximum threshold for your incoming or outgoing traffic, and be alerted if the traffic falls below or exceeds your set thresholds.

This way you can monitor and be notified if, for example, the outgoing traffic of a Windows Server machine falls below your threshold, or if a single device is clogging up bandwidth by downloading an unusually large file.

How do I activate network adapter traffic monitoring?

  1. Log in to your ITbrain dashboard.
  2. Navigate to the ITbrain Monitoring tab, and click Manage Policies.
  3. Select the policy you want to add the network adapter traffic check to.
  4. Select Network adapter traffic from the drop-down menu, and click Add.
  5. Select the data you want to delete, click Delete, and confirm this process.

Tip: Add the network adapter check multiple times to monitor outgoing and incoming traffic.
