Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement for the financial year 2024

Preamble

TeamViewer is a company with integrity and recognizes its social responsibility. Therefore, TeamViewer considers human dignity and individual freedom to be key principles in conducting business.

Slavery and human trafficking are a flagrant breach of international human rights and affect communities and individuals all around the world. Independent reports show that millions of people across the globe suffer from various forms of slavery and human trafficking.

It is TeamViewer's deepest conviction that any form of slavery or human trafficking is unacceptable. Therefore, TeamViewer does not condone and will not tolerate slavery or human trafficking of any kind or in any way. In consideration of the above, it is the intent of TeamViewer to actively engage in fighting slavery and human trafficking.

This statement is made pursuant to Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes the TeamViewer Group's ("TeamViewer" or "we") global slavery and human trafficking statement for the financial year 2024.

Supply Chain

TeamViewer's supply chain mainly consists of suppliers and resellers of certain IT hardware and software products as well as related IT services.

To provide this UK Modern Slavery Act statement, we have conducted an initial risk assessment that included a mapping exercise to locate areas of concern within TeamViewer’s supply chain. This risk assessment was conducted using the Global Slavery Index as well as an internal risk evaluation procedure to target first-level suppliers. Based on the results of such assessment, we comprehensively addressed modern slavery issues throughout our supply chain, and continue to monitor and improve such measures on an ongoing basis. This in particular also includes to commit our business partners to compliance with our Supplier Code of Conduct.

International Standards, Policies and Practices

TeamViewer respects international standards protecting human rights and is dedicated to their observance within its scope of influence. We support the standards of:

  • United Nation’s Universal Declaration of Human Rights
  • European Convention on Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms
  • International Labor Organization (ILO) Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at work
  • the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact on human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption and we commit to the Sustainable Development Goals framework
  • United Nations Standards of Conduct for Business on Tackling Discrimination against LGBTI People.

Internal and external policies and practices have been implemented to ensure compliance with applicable laws and ethical business practices as well as to prevent modern slavery or human trafficking within TeamViewer’s supply chain or any part of TeamViewer’s business.

Two policies are particularly noteworthy in this context:

Code of Conduct: The Code of Conduct defines, inter alia, the ethical business practices to be applied by all employees. In accordance with this policy, countries, companies or individuals who disrespect human rights are excluded from any business activities and business relationships with TeamViewer.

Supplier Code of Conduct: We expect suppliers to commit to their social and societal responsibility to the same extent as TeamViewer in all areas of their business activities and particularly to ensure fair working conditions. Our Supplier Code of Conduct is the primary mechanism to ensure suppliers promote ethical conduct in the workplace, safe working conditions and the treatment of workers with respect and dignity. Particularly, the use of child labor, forced labor and discrimination are strictly forbidden. Any supplier violating the standards contained in TeamViewer’s Supplier Code of Conduct must accept this violation as grounds for termination of the contract without notice. We reserve the right to review or audit any suppliers’ compliance with the Supplier Code of Conduct.

Communication and Whistleblowing

We maintain communication channels so that employees and stakeholders may raise concerns (anonymously) if they believe that TeamViewer does not operate consistently with the commitments made in respect of human rights.

Training

In order to ensure compliance with applicable laws, TeamViewer provides its employees general compliance trainings to emphasize the importance of acting with integrity and in line with our internal policies.
