TeamViewer recognized on CDP’s 2024 Supplier Engagement A-List

Sustainability and CSR

TeamViewer has been named to the CDP Supplier Engagement Assessment (SEA) A-list for the 2024 disclosure cycle—an achievement that marks a two-level jump from our previous rating of B. This places us among the top 6% of over 22,700 companies globally evaluated by CDP.

Advancing supplier engagement on climate

CDP’s SEA evaluates how effectively companies engage their supply chains in addressing climate change, with scoring based on governance, target-setting, Scope 3 emissions, and value chain engagement.

TeamViewer’s improved rating reflects our verified full-scope carbon accounting—covering Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions—and tangible progress in reducing our footprint. In 2024, we achieved a 15% reduction in Scope 3 emissions, which make up 99.1% of our total emissions.

Michael Wilkens Chief Financial Officer at TeamViewer

“Reducing Scope 3 emissions requires collaboration and accountability across the value chain. This recognition confirms that we are moving in the right direction—not just setting targets, but actively working with suppliers to achieve them.”

Powering climate action through partnerships

A key driver of this progress has been deeper collaboration with critical suppliers, particularly hosting service providers, to increase the share of renewable energy used in delivering our software. These efforts are part of our broader strategy to align supplier practices with TeamViewer’s decarbonization goals.

This CDP recognition supports our long-term climate ambition: to achieve net-zero emissions across our value chain by 2040, in line with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). Strong supplier engagement enhances not only emissions reduction but also our resilience to climate-related risks.
