TeamViewer on stage

TeamViewer was prominently represented by Mei Dent, Chief Product & Technology Officer (CPTO), who joined a high-level panel alongside Dr. Yilmaz Alan (EY), Christoph Winter (OpenAI), and Dr. Matthias Metz (BSH Home Appliances). The discussion centered on how customers benefit from AI, with Mei Dent highlighting how TeamViewer drives practical applications in remote connectivity and industrial workflows.

“One of the features of TeamViewer Intelligence is to provide an AI-generated summary of expert-led IT-support sessions, including steps taken to resolve issues. Within a few months after launch, we’ve generated around 200,000 summaries already. Let’s assume each summary saves IT support employees around three minutes of manual documentation—that adds up to a total of 10,000 hours saved.” said Mei Dent.

Her remarks emphasized that TeamViewer’s AI strategy focuses on solutions that deliver immediate, measurable impact for customers.

“Being part of the WELT AI Summit is an important signal of our role in the European and global AI ecosystem. By engaging directly with leading players such as OpenAI and Microsoft, we show that TeamViewer is not only connected to the ecosystem but is actively shaping it. Our presence demonstrates that we are a German tech company with global reach, offering applied AI solutions that matter today,” said Oliver Steil, CEO of TeamViewer.

Key takeaways from the Summit

  • Collaboration: Closer cooperation between business and policymakers is essential to accelerate AI adoption and secure the long-term competitiveness of Germany and Europe.
  • European potential: Germany and Europe have the data, talent, and research strength - especially in the industrial area - now we need to accelerate turning it into real products.
  • Infrastructure and energy: AI innovation requires massive infrastructure and energy investments.
  • Cloud and data sovereignty: Trust, data residency, and security will be decisive for adoption in Europe.
  • SMB empowerment: Small and medium-sized businesses should be enabled to innovate before regulation sets in.
  • Vertical solutions: Domain-specific applications, not generalized AI models, will unlock the next wave of value.

TeamViewer’s participation in the WELT AI Summit 2025 reinforced its role as a driver of applied AI solutions. By engaging with global leaders, demonstrating our technology, and showcasing practical AI use cases, TeamViewer highlighted its strategic relevance in the ecosystem and its commitment to shaping AI adoption responsibly and effectively.
