Following its launch at the end of July 2026, TeamViewer’s Path to the Autonomous Workplace research continued to generate media coverage around the world throughout August.
Based on a survey of 4,200 employees and managers across nine markets, the research explores what needs to happen as workplaces move from AI tools that assist people toward increasingly autonomous systems that can take action on their behalf.
The findings point to a clear tension between AI adoption and AI autonomy. 75% of respondents use AI every day, while 61% prefer AI to inform decisions rather than take independent action. At the same time, 95% have at least one concern about AI operating without a human in the loop.
Since its launch, the research campaign has generated approximately 100 pieces of media coverage globally, helping TeamViewer contribute to the broader conversation around agentic AI, trust, governance and the future of work.

A new TeamViewer customer success story with Protecting Brains & Saving Futures (PBSF) demonstrates how secure remote connectivity can help expand access to specialized neonatal care across Brazil.
PBSF uses TeamViewer Tensor to connect neurological specialists with hospitals and frontline medical teams, including facilities that may not otherwise have immediate access to specialized expertise.
Through secure remote connectivity, approximately 35 PBSF professionals support neonatal care across the country. PBSF has delivered more than one million hours of monitoring, supported more than 20,000 patients and expanded its model to 50 hospitals nationwide.
The story also generated media coverage in Brazil, extending its reach beyond TeamViewer’s own channels. Outlets including Saúde Digital News, DP Tech Trends and TI Nordeste highlighted how remote connectivity is helping PBSF expand access to neonatal neuroprotection and provide specialist support regardless of location.
