How our integrations will save your IT admins time, money, and stress
Your IT administrators are overworked, overwhelmed, and tired out. Here’s how our Microsoft integrations will transform their daily lives for the better.
Ever asked for help at work and been told “there’s an app for that”? Apps run our working lives. They help us sync schedules, build relationships, win business, and even make the perfect cup of coffee.
But often, these tools don’t talk to each other. A lack of integration wastes time, reduces productivity, and costs companies money. The very technology that is meant to make our lives easier is actually making them harder.
It’s IT system administrators and managers who bear the brunt of poor integration. They spend their days juggling disjointed workflows, frustrated users, and compliance worries.
TeamViewer can help them. Our remote connectivity platform connects seamlessly with an impressive list of systems that businesses already rely on.
Today we’re putting the spotlight on our integrations with three leading Microsoft platforms—Entra ID, Microsoft Intune, and Teams—to see how they can elevate the everyday for your IT admins and supercharge your business.

Why is integration important?
We’re surrounded by tech at work. New apps, tools, and platforms are being rolled out every day.
All of these promise to improve our lives. They claim to help us communicate, manage our schedules, track customer relationships, and get more done.
But there’s a problem. Over time, companies acquire new applications based on specific needs. Often, these apps aren’t linked to the ones already in use. That means you can’t transfer information between them, it takes time to jump from one to the next, and some may even do the same job.
This ad hoc approach to integration isn’t just irritating for the users, it’s costly for the company. In a Cleo survey, 99% of respondents said that integration issues caused them to lose out on business, with some reporting revenue losses of over $1 million.
It’s no surprise then, that 88% of IT leaders think that good integrations between systems and apps are a critical factor in both customer and employee experience.
What problems does poor integration cause for IT admins?
The IT administrator is the ultimate wearer of many hats. If you can manage to grab five minutes with them to ask what a typical day looks like, they’ll tell you that there is no such thing.
But the truth is that many are having the same struggles, day in day out, as a direct result of poor technology integration. Here are just some of the battles that overstretched IT teams could be fighting in a single day.
Manually managing permissions
Without an integrated identity solution, the system admin has to manually assign permissions to ensure new employees can access all the files they need, and deactivate individual accounts of people who have left.
A lack of oversight makes it difficult to stay on top of access requirements, in particular for short-term contractors and third-party vendors, which opens up vulnerabilities for cyber attacks.
Time-consuming device updates
It’s the system admin’s responsibility to update non-compliant devices, keeping them secure and running smoothly. On any given day, they could be upgrading systems, updating software and deploying version patches to thousands of company phones and laptops.
To add to the complexity, employees may be working from a mix of company-owned and personal devices, running on different operating systems. Without an integrated endpoint manager, it’s hard to keep track of device statuses, and slow to roll out updates.
Account access issues
If access management isn’t integrated with your systems, IT managers can lose hours helping employees who have been locked out of their accounts. Poor integration affects the users too, with 64% of workers believing their work would feel less chaotic with a unified platform.
Lack of identity verification also causes security issues. If password policies aren’t enforced and security standards aren’t upheld, organizations risk breaching compliance and compromising data privacy.
Unplanned troubleshooting
When staff work across multiple locations and time-zones, it’s challenging for admins to provide quick, effective, remote IT support. There’s always a fire to put out somewhere, so they can’t predict when the “peak times” will fall. It can feel like one continuous peak.
Without a dynamic knowledge base to draw from, every open ticket must be treated like an isolated incident. It takes the admin time to research and limits the level of support they can offer.
Supporting field workers on-site
If all they have is disconnected apps and unreliable meeting platforms, admins will struggle to teach field workers how to use new equipment. App overload is a widespread problem, with 69% of workers wasting up to an hour a day toggling between apps.
With no way to log or share the takeaways from support sessions, other on-site workers facing similar issues in the future will also need to call on the admin for help.
How do Tensor’s Microsoft integrations improve the day-to-day for IT admins?
TeamViewer Tensor is a powerful remote connectivity platform for managers whose IT and OT responsibilities require them to be everywhere at once.
Tensor integrates with an extensive list of partners, chief among them global tech giant Microsoft. We have an exclusive partnership with Microsoft Intune as well as deep integrations with Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft Teams.
This year, we were selected from a global field of enterprise-grade partners to receive the Microsoft Teams Partner of the Year Award in recognition of our commitment to innovative customer solutions built with Microsoft technology.
This alliance puts a whole suite of Microsoft apps right at your system admin’s fingertips. They could be onboarding a user with Entra ID one moment, and seamlessly assigning their laptop to a group via Microsoft Intune the next, before instantly initiating a TeamViewer remote session through Microsoft Teams to help with the device setup.
And that’s just one example. Here’s a rundown of even more ways our Microsoft integrations will improve the daily lives of your IT admins and create a fully joined up support experience for your employees.
Microsoft Entra ID automates and simplifies access management
The integration lets IT admins set up secure logins and enforce access rules without additional steps. Entra ID then verifies usernames and passwords based on these predefined rules to keep your systems compliant and your business data secure.
Device monitoring is intuitive and secure with Microsoft Intune
IT admins can activate Tensor’s out-of-the-box integration with Microsoft Intune in just a few clicks. TeamViewer is the only Microsoft Intune partner that lets system admins start a connection to address device issues with users right from the Microsoft Intune dashboard.
When new devices are being set up, TeamViewer can be rolled out and configured right from Microsoft Intune. Once set up, the admin can manage thousands of company endpoints, no matter what make or model they are, or which operating system they use.
Microsoft Entra ID lets you streamline and secure user authentication
Tensor’s integration with Microsoft Entra ID gives users Single Sign-On (SSO) to TeamViewer—including with Multi-factor authentication (MFA) support.
Logging in becomes quick and password-free, so employees can stay productive, secure in the knowledge that Microsoft Entra ID will protect them from 99.9% of cybersecurity attacks.
Effective, instant, remote troubleshooting right from Microsoft Teams
Microsoft’s AI Copilot can draw on data created by TeamViewer’s AI Session Insights to bring the admin learnings from previously resolved cases, including automated documentation and knowledge-sharing, so that they can offer enhanced remote support.
Microsoft Teams brings AR guidance to onsite workers
TeamViewer’s Microsoft Teams integration gives the system admin the power of augmented reality (AR) visual support to get onsite workers up to speed with new equipment efficiently.
The AR feature lets the admin see exactly what the field worker sees to help them identify issues quickly, and even lay visual pointers to support them, without switching apps or screens.
