Policies, ethics, and compliance

Guided by the core principles of integrity, transparency, and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, TeamViewer is determined to exercise effective and reliable corporate governance practices.

Our Code of Conduct serves as a roadmap to guide and enable us to make the right judgements. It outlines the requirements we commit to in our daily business, so we can deliver high standards, as expected from us.

TeamViewer is committed to conducting all business activities in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal governance standards. To safeguard integrity across all operations, the company maintains a formal Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy, approved by the Management Board.

Under this policy, corruption is defined as any activity that involves abusing one’s position or authority for improper personal gain. This includes both bribery – the intentional granting of an undue advantage to a third party, typically an official or business partner, to induce them to act in violation of their duties – and corruptibility, meaning the solicitation or acceptance of such advantages.

TeamViewer strictly prohibits facilitation payments, defined as small, unofficial payments made to speed up routine governmental actions. Such payments constitute a form of bribery and are not permitted under any circumstances.

Through mandatory internal guidelines, continuous awareness, and clear accountability, TeamViewer ensures that all employees, partners, and representatives uphold the highest standards of ethical and lawful conduct.

TeamViewer is committed to supporting the fight against money laundering and prohibiting all forms of terrorist financing.

The economy and competition should always be for the benefit of the consumer. TeamViewer is committed to vigorous but fair competition by complying with all applicable competition and antitrust laws. We expect the same from our competitors.

As a global company, TeamViewer is subject to a variety of different laws and standards, including economic sanctions and export control laws (trade controls).

TeamViewer is committed to integrity and transparent business conduct. The company does not engage in lobbying, political advocacy, or political financing in any country.

Disclosure of Activities and Expenses

  • Breakdown per recipient and country: As no such activities took place, no expenses were recorded.
  • Total monetary value: The overall amount spent on lobbying and political activities in the current year is €0.

TeamViewer is commited to upholding ethical standards and to respect human rights in its business, operations, and procurement activities. Building on our Supplier Code of Conduct and Responsible Buying Strategy, we acknowledge the necessity of establishing company-wide guidelines on how to deal with Conflict Minerals in our supply chain, as these are sometimes linked to financing armed conflicts or are mined using forced labor.

As per the TeamViewer Code of Conduct, fair and equal treatment, no discrimination, and no harassment are key principles of the way we want to interact with each other, internally and externally. We aim to create an inclusive workplace for all our colleagues, regardless of their age, gender, social and ethnic background, marriage and family status, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, political and religious beliefs, physical, mental, and sensitive medical condition.

TeamViewer respects Human Rights and Environmental Protection as a fundamental component of Responsible Corporate Governance. With this Declaration of Principles, TeamViewer explicitly commits to contribute to environmental protection, uphold human rights, respect employee rights, as well as their representatives.

The equal position of women and men at different levels is of great importance to TeamViewer.

TeamViewer applies the principle of equal treatment in all recruitment activities and grants equal remuneration for women and men. We use inclusive language in our job advertisements and provide training on equal treatment and inclusivity to the managers involved in recruitment processes.

In addition to providing equal pay for new hires, TeamViewer is also committed each year to reviewing and achieving gender pay equality. As part of our Diversity, Inclusion, and Non-Discrimination Policy, we are committed to taking concrete action if the salary difference within a comparable group of employees with the same qualifications, professional experience, company affiliation, and regional location exceeds 3%.

TeamViewer’s Climate Transition Plan outlines the company’s strategy to address climate change and achieve net-zero emissions by 2040. It highlights key initiatives, governance structures, and action plans to reduce emissions in line with the Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi) goals. The plan emphasizes TeamViewer’s commitment to contributing positively to climate action and transparency in reporting its progress.

TeamViewer further commits to reduce abolute scope 1, 2 and 3 GHG emissions 90% by 2024 from 2021 base year.

The TeamViewer Privacy Handbook serves as a comprehensive guide outlining an organization’s policies, practices, and procedures for handling sensitive personal information to ensure compliance with data protection laws and to protect individuals’ privacy rights.

It provides employees and stakeholders with a clear understanding of how data is collected, used, and safeguarded, promoting transparency and accountability in data management.

We compete in a people’s business and therefore our employees are the most valuable asset of the company and they need to be protected by placing high priority on health and safety measures. We act in accordance with the applicable statutory and international and local standards regarding occupational health, especially the core conventions of the International Labor Organization (ILO).

TeamViewer established policies to provide guidance and best practices for developing and implementing an effective IT security policy, such as a data classification policy, identity and access management policy, a physical security policy, or a corporate email usage policy.

TeamViewer takes compliance with global standards very seriously and expects its suppliers and other business partners (including contractors, consultants, and distributors) to commit to the high standards of ethical business conduct defined in this Code of Conduct for Suppliers and Business Partners. This includes strict adherence to internationally recognized labor and human-rights principles, such as ensuring minimum living wages, fair working conditions, and compliance with maximum working hour regulations.

In addition, and as further detailed in our internal Sustainable Procurement Policy, TeamViewer is committed to engaging with suppliers to improve their environmental performance, including reducing greenhouse-gas emissions and promoting responsible resource use. TeamViewer also follows the principles of green procurement, giving preference to products, services, and partners that demonstrate strong environmental stewardship and support our transition toward a low-carbon, resource-efficient value chain.

At TeamViewer, we encourage our employees to speak up and report any unethical behaviors that do not align with our Code of Conduct and values. Line managers, our Compliance Office, the Trust Council, and the whistle-blower tool are the different channels employees can access to report compliance violations or anomalies.

Our corporate governance stands for responsible and transparent corporate management and supervision directed towards sustainable, long-term value creation. This includes our values, guidelines, and corporate principles as well as internal and external control and monitoring mechanisms. The Management Board and Supervisory Board place great value on good corporate governance to continuously foster the confidence in TeamViewer by our investors, customers and other business partners, employees and the general public.

At TeamViewer, we believe that diverse perspectives and equal opportunities strengthen our culture and fuel innovation. Our Gender Equity Working Group is an employee-driven initiative dedicated to creating an inclusive environment in which everyone can thrive. The group brings together colleagues from across the organization who are passionate about advancing gender balance, raising awareness, and driving meaningful change.

A key pillar of the working group is our Mentorship Program for Female Career Development. Through one-on-one mentoring, knowledge sharing, and targeted career guidance, the program supports women at TeamViewer in developing their skills, expanding their networks, and preparing for leadership roles. By connecting experienced mentors with emerging female talent, we foster personal growth, confidence, and long-term career progression.

The Gender Equity Working Group continuously collaborates with HR and leadership teams to identify barriers, propose improvements, and champion initiatives that strengthen equal opportunity across all levels of the company. Together, we are building a workplace where careers can flourish – regardless of gender.

TeamViewer’s Diversity Working Group is an employee-led community committed to fostering a workplace where individuality is valued, perspectives are respected, and everyone feels empowered to contribute their best. The group brings together employees from different backgrounds, cultures, and experiences to drive initiatives that celebrate diversity and strengthen belonging across the organization.

The working group champions several initiatives that support a truly diverse workforce. These include awareness sessions on cultural intelligence, inclusive leadership workshops, company-wide celebrations of international and cultural events, and collaboration with HR to ensure inclusive hiring practices. The group also facilitates open discussions and learning opportunities that help colleagues better understand each other’s experiences and build a more empathetic, globally minded culture.

By amplifying diverse voices and promoting equity in everyday practices, the Diversity Working Group plays a key role in shaping a workplace where all TeamViewer employees – regardless of background, identity, or life experience – can succeed and feel at home.

Our Parents@TeamViewer Working Group is an employee-driven community that supports colleagues navigating the challenges and opportunities of parenthood while pursuing their careers. The group brings together parents and caregivers from across the company to share experiences, inspire one another, and advocate for a family-friendly work environment.

A key focus of the group is raising awareness of the flexible and part-time working models available at TeamViewer. These include reduced-hours arrangements, flexible scheduling, job-sharing options, and phased return-to-work setups – each designed to help parents balance professional responsibilities with family life. The working group collaborates closely with HR to continuously review and promote these models so that employees can choose the solution that fits their needs.

The reintegration process after parental leave is another important topic. Parents@TeamViewer provides guidance and peer support for employees preparing to return, ensuring a smooth transition back into their roles. Through informal networks, information sessions, and collaboration with managers, the group helps parents stay connected, up to date, and empowered to re-enter the workplace with confidence.

By championing flexible work, supporting reintegration, and fostering open dialogue, the Parents@TeamViewer Working Group strengthens our commitment to a workplace where families feel supported and careers can grow – at every stage of life.

TeamViewer’s Climate Action Working Group is an employee-led initiative dedicated to strengthening our collective contribution to environmental protection. Bringing together colleagues who are passionate about sustainability, the group drives hands-on activities and awareness campaigns that help reduce our ecological footprint across all offices.

One of the group’s key efforts is organizing clean-up events around our office locations. These initiatives bring employees together to remove litter from local parks, streets, and natural areas, fostering environmental responsibility and strengthening community engagement.

The group also leads regular awareness campaigns focused on practical steps employees can take to reduce their environmental impact. These campaigns promote energy-efficient practices, such as minimizing unnecessary equipment usage and optimizing workspace energy consumption. They also highlight waste prevention measures and support the company’s ambition to move toward plastic-free offices, encouraging the reduction of single-use plastics, the use of reusable materials, and responsible recycling habits.

By combining education, collaboration, and hands-on action, the Climate Action Working Group helps embed sustainability into everyday work life at TeamViewer – empowering all employees to contribute to a cleaner, more resource-efficient future.

The LGBTQIA+ Working Group at TeamViewer is an employee-driven community committed to building a workplace where everyone – regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, or expression – feels welcomed, respected, and empowered to be their authentic selves. The group brings together colleagues who are passionate about advancing inclusion, breaking down barriers, and strengthening visibility across the organization.

A core pillar of the group is its mentoring program, which provides guidance, career support, and safe spaces for LGBTQIA+ colleagues and allies. Through one-on-one mentoring, peer exchange, and personal development opportunities, the program fosters confidence, broadens professional networks, and helps emerging talent grow into future leaders.

The group also drives broader initiatives that support a diverse workforce, including awareness sessions on LGBTQIA+ topics, allyship training, inclusive language campaigns, and participation in global Pride events. These activities help educate colleagues, celebrate diversity, and promote a culture of understanding and respect. The working group collaborates closely with HR and leadership to ensure policies and practices are inclusive and reflect the needs of LGBTQIA+ employees.
