Frequently asked questions

To create a multitenancy setup, you require a valid TeamViewer Tensor license. In addition, a company profile needs to be in place, so you can optimize TeamViewer Tensor within your central and satellite organizational units.

Adding company profiles is similar to adding existing accounts to user management. Company administrators in the central organization can generate links and share them easily with satellite company administrators to add their organizational units to the central organization.

Company administrators overseeing Tensor usage from within the central organization can access reports in the multitenancy module and view which Tensor licenses are activated within the different company profiles, as well as the total number of full agents and the number of agents currently assigned to satellite units.

Company administrators can go to the multitenancy module and choose ‘Add company’ to generate a link and share it with a satellite company administrator to add their organizational unit to the central organization.

Only company administrators can access multitenancy. In satellite organizations, access to multitenancy is only possible if the subsidiary company profile also uses a Tensor license.

Company administrators overseeing Tensor usage from the central organization can view the entire tenant structure, including the parent company and all connected child tenants. They can instantly see each tenant’s permissions, relationships, and user details for full visibility and control across the enterprise.
