TeamViewer monitors its traffic to ensure the user network bandwidth capacity is at an optimal level of data rate flow.
TeamViewer traffic is used in both directions - for both downloads and uploads. Data flows are calculated quickly and smoothly when the network's traffic is small relative to capacity.
When the amount of traffic nears the network's capacity, the speed at which data travels begins to drop.
This article applies to all TeamViewer users.
Connection Information window
The Connection Information window provides traffic monitoring information:

How to determine bandwidth consumption
To find out how much bandwidth consumption or data flow occurs during a connection to another device, you will use the connection information panel from TeamViewer (Classic).
- Connect from the device in question to another device to gather the data flow that is being made through the connection.
- Select the Actions menu in the Remote Session Toolbar at the top of the connection window. Select Connection info..., which is located on the right side of the drop-down:
📌Note: In the macOS Remote Session Toolbar, navigate to Extras ➜ Connection Info
A new window will appear, providing information about the connection. At the top of the window, the data flow will appear (in kilobytes):
This data will allow for calculating the bandwidth usage for any specific connection.
📌Note: Each device can vary in regards to the data flow. This depends upon actions taken in that specific connection and the type of device and network used.
