TeamViewer Supports Remote Access to Synology NAS Devices

London, UK, May 22, 2018 – TeamViewer®, a leading global software provider for IoT, connectivity, monitoring, support, and team collaboration, today announced the support of Synology NAS devices featuring DiskStation Manager (DSM) 6 or higher. This allows users to easily access and manager their network attached storage (NAS) device via TeamViewer IoT WebControl, from anywhere in the world.

NAS boxes can be set up quickly, do not require much space and are easy-to-use. Small and medium-sized businesses and home users choose them for easy file sharing or backup routines. TeamViewer’s support for Synology NAS devices extends the user’s reach and possibilities.

To benefit from TeamViewer’s extended remote access capabilities, users need to install the TeamViewer IoT Client for Synology on their Synology device, and assign it to their TeamViewer account.
