Berlin-Chemie has been developing, producing, and distributing pharmaceutical products in over 90 markets for more than 130 years. Since 1992, Berlin-Chemie has been part of the Menarini Group, the leading pharmaceutical company in Italy.
Challenge: Complex requirements and rising expectations
From its distribution center in Grossbeeren near Berlin, the company supplies the German market with around 1,000 shipments per day. Quality, accuracy, and process reliability are critical to every order.

In addition, the pharmaceutical industry requires strict compliance, including full product traceability.
Berlin-Chemie already used a pick-by-voice system for hands-free order picking. However, it couldn’t validate individual products or efficiently support multi-order tasks.
