Activating your TeamViewer ONE Standard or Advanced license is the first step toward unlocking the full potential of your endpoint management solution. Designed to go beyond traditional remote support, TeamViewer ONE empowers you to manage, monitor, and support your devices efficiently and securely. In this article, we’ll guide you through the activation process step-by-step, so you can get started quickly and confidently.

This article applies to all TeamViewer ONE license holders.

How to activate your TeamViewer ONE license

To activate your TeamViewer ONE license, please follow the instructions in the video below:

Step 1: Click the activate button

Open the license activation email that was sent to the email address provided at the point of purchase. Next to TeamViewer ONE Standard or Advanced, click Activate.

Important note: Please activate the TeamViewer ONE license first, as any additional licenses must be activated afterward.

Step 2: Sign in with your admin account or create a TeamViewer account and activate the license

  1. Sign in with your existing TeamViewer account.
  2. Click Activate.
  1. Click Create an account.
  2. Enter your name and email address, and click Continue.
  3. Create a password, read and accept the EULA, mark the captcha box, and click Create my account.

4.   You'll be informed that an email has been sent to your inbox for account verification. Click the Verify account button in the email to verify your account. A page will open confirming the account validation. You can now close the window.

5.   Upon completion, go back to the initial browser window, tick the box for I have verified my account, and click Sign in. Enter the password you just created and click Sign in.

6.   Once you sign in, a page will appear requesting that you confirm the activation. Click Activate.

Note: If you wish to activate the license on a different account, click Sign in at the bottom of the page.

Step 3: Create your company

An onboarding pop-up will appear. Click Continue.

Now, enter your company name, and click Save and continue.

You have successfully activated your main TeamViewer ONE license.

Step 4: Activate your additional licenses

Go back to the activation e-mail and activate the additional licenses via their respective Activate button.

Activate DEX Essentials

  1. Click the Activate button next to TeamViewer DEX Essentials.
  2. Choose the region for data storage and confirm the activation of the TeamViewer DEX Essentials add-on by clicking Activate.

Activate the Remote Worker add-on

  1. Click the Activate button next to TeamViewer Remote Worker add-on.
  2. Confirm the activation of the TeamViewer Remote Worker add-on by clicking Activate.

Activate Asset Management (only for TeamViewer ONE Advanced)

  1. Click the Activate button next to Asset Management.
  2. Confirm the activation of the Asset Management add-on by clicking Activate.

Step 5: Assign the license to your users

For users who do not have a TeamViewer account, please create a TeamViewer account for them by following the instructions in this article: Add users to your company

During the user creation process, you can directly assign the license to the user via the Licenses tab, as shown below:

For users who already have an existing account, you can add them to your company by following the second chapter of the article here: Add existing users to your company

Once the users have been added, you can assign them the license as follows:

  1. Select the user(s).
  2. Click Edit.
  3. Click Edit user information.
  4. Go to the Licenses tab.
  5. Within the TeamViewer license section, select the desired license.
  6. Click Save.

You have successfully activated your TeamViewer ONE license.
