TeamViewer appoints Gautam Goswami as CMO, names Dr. Mike Eissele as CTO

Goeppingen, January 31, 2019 – TeamViewer®, a global leader in secure remote connectivity solutions, today announced the appointment of Gautam Goswami as new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) as well as the promotion of Dr. Mike Eissele to Chief Technology Officer (CTO). After a highly successful business year 2018 those leadership extensions build the ground for TeamViewer’s ambitious global growth strategy in 2019 and beyond.

Gautam Goswami, a seasoned tech executive based in Los Angeles, USA, will lead TeamViewer’s marketing and product strategy and global marketing operations starting March 1st. He brings 20 years of experience in technology and marketing with notable roles at enterprise software and cloud services providers Opentext and Informatica. For the past three years he has acted as an independent strategic marketing advisor to Permira portfolio companies including Genesys, a leading provider of enterprise customer experience software, financial services provider Tricor as well as TeamViewer itself. Goswami successfully supported TeamViewer in developing a go-to-market strategy based on the increased global activities and product portfolio in 2018. As an experienced marketeer in the technology and consumer sector, he will bring a combination of B2B and B2C marketing excellence to TeamViewer. Stefan Prestele, who was previously responsible for the entire marketing department, will transition to focus on all enterprise and IoT marketing activities.

In addition, former SVP Software Development, Dr. Mike Eissele has been named TeamViewer CTO. In this newly created role, he will be responsible for the definition and execution of TeamViewer’s global product roadmap. Eissele started as Head of Software Development at TeamViewer in 2009 and has been a driving force behind TeamViewer’s leading remote connectivity product suite including its recently launched enterprise and IoT solutions.

In parallel, SVP Kornelius Brunner and SVP Raffi M. Kassarjian will leave TeamViewer after 14 and three successful years respectively with the company, to pursue new career opportunities. They will hand over their responsibilities to the new CMO and CTO. Several reporting lines in TeamViewer’s global organization will be adjusted according to the new setup.

“We had a fantastic business year 2018 and will further build on our leading market position as a remote connectivity provider in 2019. With Gautam’s proven expertise and Mikes extended responsibilities we will accelerate innovation, global product development and marketing for all customer segments and in all regions,” says Oliver Steil, CEO of TeamViewer. “At the same time, I would like to thank Kornelius and Raffi for their exceptional contributions to TeamViewer’s ongoing growth and success story.”
