The Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team has gained a competitive edge with TeamViewer’s remote connectivity functionality. In May 2021, the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team announced a five-year partnership with TeamViewer to drive efficiency across its operations through digital transformation.

  • Providing remote IT support across its entire operations
  • Providing remote monitoring capabilities for the Test & Development Team
  • Providing remote connectivity between its track and UK-based team on race weekends
  • Providing remote connectivity solutions across departments

As Steve Riley, IT Service manager at the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team states, “TeamViewer is the de facto support platform across our entire operations. As an IT Team we use its remote connectivity functionality to provide remote IT support across our entire operations. It enabled us to quickly mobilize the team when remote working became mandatory, and it now provides a crucial role supporting our race team during events. Not only can we provide remote IT support to the travelling team, but it provides an essential connection between the track team and the designers and engineers back in the UK.”

“TeamViewer enabled us to keep innovating when navigating remote working, and it enabled us to augment the small trackside crew that travels the world with the full force of the team back in the UK.”
