Announcement:
Starting with version 4.35, the product transitions from JavaScript to CEL (Common Expression Language) for evaluating expressions in config.json at design time (i.e., within the Creator).
This upgrade aligns the Frontline Creator with modern security standards, leading to the deprecation of embedded JavaScript logic in configuration files.
Impact:
Previously published workflows will remain unaffected—unless modified.
Once a user opens a workflow in the Creator and attempts to republish it, the system will validate the configuration using CEL. If the config still contains JavaScript-based expressions, validation will fail, and the workflow cannot be published in its current form.
Impacted users:
No further action is needed if you don't touch your existing workflow and republish it.
In case you must adjust your workflows and republish them, please contact your TPM/PE.
