TeamViewer optimises processes in TV production at RTL Studios

Goppingen, August 24th, 2022 – TeamViewer, a leading global provider of remote connectivity and workplace digitalisation solutions, is helping to make TV production processes at RTL Studios GmbH more efficient. Editors can remotely connect to the editing computers at the Cologne headquarters via the secure remote access solution TeamViewer Tensor and thus edit and finalise the films remotely.

In addition to the advantages of flexible, location-independent work, TeamViewer can now be used to carry out tasks in parallel on the editing computer, which in the past had to be done by the editor and the producers one after the other. The export of the finished film and the subsequent upload to the broadcast centre can also be done remotely via TeamViewer Tensor from anywhere.

Philipp Rummel, Technical Manager Postproduction at RTL Studios: “For film and video editing we need a lot of computing power, which mobile devices do not offer. Time at the editing computer is therefore a scarce resource for us. Thanks to TeamViewer, our colleagues can now access this computing power remotely and do their job more efficiently than before and from anywhere. Currently, this saves us up to 20% time in post-production. We are therefore extremely happy with the solution.”

Jan Junker, Executive Vice President Solution Sales & Delivery at TeamViewer: “The way we work is changing at great speed. As the RTL Studios example shows, access to specific IT systems is still often necessary. With our secure and reliable remote connectivity solution, companies can make this access much more efficient, while allowing employees to fully benefit from the advantages of mobile working.”
