The countdown to Austin is on! After months of work behind the scenes, we’re almost ready to bring Forward Together to the Formula 1 MSC Cruises United States Grand Prix (22–25th October). We’ll introduce a new TeamViewer Wild Card driver, reveal 250 faces and, most importantly, celebrate four incredible communities.
Our Wild Card driver
We are excited to finally share who’ll be taking the wheel in Austin:17-year-old Alexia Danielsson. She’ll make her F1 ACADEMY debut as the TeamViewer Wild Card driver, racing 13 laps around the Circuit of the Americas. With race wins, podiums and an F1 ACADEMY Rookie Test already under her belt, it’s a huge moment for Alexia and one we’re extremely proud to support.
Community takes the track
And the TeamViewer car Alexia is driving has its own story to tell. Last year, we featured more than 200 female leaders on our F1 ACADEMY livery to show how visibility can drive change. This year, Forward Together shifts the focus to community.
We’ve partnered with Austin Women in Technology, Driven By Us, Girlstart and Refresh Miami to celebrate the women making a difference in their communities. We’ll feature 250 of their faces on our special-edition Austin livery, taking their stories onto one of the world’s biggest sporting stages.
Our Women in Sport Tech research found that communities can help women enter and advance in sport and tech roles, with 55% of women telling us they’re already part of a professional network. And that research carries through to the car’s race number: #45 represents the remaining 45% and our ambition to encourage more women to find their community.
Austin awaits
We’re keeping the finished livery under wraps for now, but you won’t have to wait long. The reveal will happen trackside in Austin, where members of the four communities will join us to see the car up close in the paddock. We’ll also welcome more local community members for a special evening with Susie Wolff.
