Configure iOS Apps with MDM

Learn how to configure the different iOS Apps of TeamViewer with the help of AppConfig and your Mobile Device Management (MDM) solution.

This article applies to all TeamViewer customers with a Corporate or Tensor license. The configuration requires an MDM that supports AppConfig (https://www.appconfig.org/).

Introduction

AppConfig is a technological standard to configure Android and iOS apps. It allows the configuration of the apps through MDM software. For more information, please refer to the AppConfig community page: AppConfig for iOS – AppConfig Community

Defines which login mode is shown as default at C&C and Chat tabs. If true shows SSO, if false shows regular username+password mode.

Add allowlisted companies by adding their Company ID separated by a semicolon.

ssoUseEmbeddedBrowser

When disabled, launches SSO login using Safari integrated browser. If enabled, SSO login happens in a seamlessly embedded web view. For servers requesting client certificate authentication, it's recommended to be disabled.

Managed Device assignment ID from Management Console. Please note the following behavior:

  • If the key is not set or is empty, there is no change in the current Managed device assignment.
  • If the key has the value "null" case-insensitive (NULL/nUll..), it unassigns the device.
  • If the key has a value, it attempts to assign the device.
