Clipboard sync allows copy and paste between devices during a remote support session. With this feature, end-users can control whether the supporter can access their clipboard content, such as text or images. This improves data privacy and helps meet security and compliance requirements.

Control the clipboard sync during a remote control session
End-users can enable or disable clipboard sync at any time during a remote session.
- Locate the clipboard sync toggle.
- Click to enable or disable clipboard sync.
When disabled, the supporter cannot copy or paste any content from your device. You can re-enable it anytime during the session.
Set the default behavior of the clipboard sync
You can set the default behavior of the clipboard sync within TeamViewer’s settings.
- In the Remote interface

- Go to Settings.
- Within the Device section, go to Remote control.
- Go to Session settings.
- Go to Common settings.
- Set the default clipboard sync behavior as desired.
- Go to Options.
- Go to Advanced.
- Go to the Advanced settings for connections to other computers section.
