What is happening?

TeamViewer and Malwarebytes are partnering to provide you with an even more advanced cyber defense solution.

We know how important security is to you. Therefore, want to offer you the most recent, most extensive technology there is. Partnering with Malwarebytes gives us the opportunity to incorporate the newest security features into our Endpoint Protection Solution.

What are Malwarebytes Endpoint Protection & Endpoint Detection and Response?

Malwarebytes Endpoint Protection and Malwarebytes Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) are advanced, forward-thinking cyber defense solutions against viruses, trojans, and ransomware. Both Malwarebytes Endpoint Protection and Malwarebytes EDR also offer protection from zero-day exploits and web protection. Malwarebytes EDR is additionally able to detect anomalies based on machine learning, isolate endpoints, and much more. That’s why these endpoint protection solutions work effectively where other solutions fail.

What happens to TeamViewer Endpoint Protection?

The Malwarebytes integration will replace our previous product, TeamViewer Endpoint Protection, which will be shut down at the end of January 2023.

Let’s address the most important questions:

What happens to my existing TeamViewer Endpoint Protection subscription?

You can continue to use your TeamViewer Endpoint Protection solution without any limitations until the end of January, 2023. However, you have the possibility to switch to Malwarebytes Endpoint Protection or Malwarebytes Endpoint Detection & Response at any time.

Is TeamViewer Endpoint Protection still secure?

Yes. TeamViewer Endpoint Protection reliably protects devices against malicious software such as viruses, trojans, rootkits, and more. Nevertheless, we have decided to partner with Malwarebytes, enabling us to enhance your cyber security solution with additional layers of security such as zero-day exploit protection, web protection, and enhanced remediation and threat response capabilities.

Can I test the Malwarebytes integration alongside my existing TeamViewer Endpoint Protection installation?

Yes. Malwarebytes Endpoint Protection and Malwarebytes Endpoint Detection & Response can be run and tested alongside TeamViewer Endpoint Protection, or any other cyber defense solution. Just head over to your TeamViewer Management Console and start your free 14-day trial.

Please note: We recommend to deactivate the real time protection in one of the solutions if you are running the two conjunctively.

Light-weight client

Don’t sacrifice endpoint performance for endpoint protection.

Signature-less Protection

More precise threat detection by not exclusively relying on the traditional signature-based approach.

Zero-day protection

Signatureless payload analysis and anomaly detection to proactively identify and block malware attempting to exploit hidden vulnerabilities in the operating systems and applications of your organization’s endpoints.

Recognition of goodware – properly signed code from known vendors. The result is a predictive malware verdict that becomes increasingly faster to determine and incrementally more precise (machine learning). Web Protection

Prevents access to malicious websites, ad networks, as well as scammer networks, and prevents malicious downloads.

Keep malicious software from being downloaded to your devices. Protect end-users while they browse the internet by automatically blocking websites that are known to be malicious. Additionally, malicious software is identified before being downloaded. Keep malicious software from being downloaded to your devices. Detection of Suspicious Activity

Continuous monitoring and visibility of endpoint file system events, network connections, process events, and registry activity.

Malwarebytes EDR monitors processes, systems, and network activity for any potential suspicious activity. Once detected, the event is immediately reported.

Endpoint Isolation

Respond to potential threats by network, process, and Windows desktop isolation to stop malware from “phoning home” and locking out remote attackers.

Once a potential threat is detected, Malwarebytes EDR triggers an alarm and enables you to isolate compromised endpoints. This prevents potential threats from spreading further. Of course, you can still access isolated devices via TeamViewer.

Ransomware-Rollback

Rollback your files that were encrypted, modified, or deleted by ransomware to a pre-attack state.

Malwarebytes EDR can roll back your files that have been encrypted by ransomware up to 72 hours after the attack (Windows devices only).
