Want to request a reset of your TeamViewer ID?

If commercial use was incorrectly detected on your TeamViewer ID or if your trial period has expired, we’re here to help get you back on track.

Using TeamViewer to help family and friends without receiving any financial compensation is considered personal use. However, using TeamViewer for your business or profession, or for any purposes for which you directly or indirectly receive compensation constitutes commercial use.

If you’d like us to review your TeamViewer ID status and verify your usage to reset your ID, please fill out the request form related to your issue to confirm that you’re only using TeamViewer for personal / non-commercial purposes.

Was commercial use detected on your ID?

If you’ve received these messages, “Commercial use suspected” or “Commercial use detected”, and you believe the way you use TeamViewer is not commercial usage, we’re here to help resolve the issue.

After submitting your request, we’ll review your information and make a determination resulting in two possible outcomes:

  1. If personal use is confirmed, your TeamViewer ID will be reset.
  2. If, after reviewing your information, commercial use is still in question, your TeamViewer ID won’t be reset. In that case, you’ll have the opportunity to submit a self-declaration of personal use stating the “actual scope of use and/or usage pattern”  (in accordance with 3.9 in the End-User License Agreement)

Has the trial expired on your ID?

When you initially installed TeamViewer freemium software, you declared using TeamViewer for commercial purposes, or at least partly for both commercial and personal use (1.4 of the End User License Agreement). A limited trial use license was automatically provided, but has now expired.

If you accidentally selected the wrong option during installation and only want to use TeamViewer for personal use, we’re happy to help resolve this issue.

Please note: According to the End User License Agreement, using TeamViewer on a Windows Server operating system is not considered personal use and qualifies as commercial purposes, requiring a license.
