Leveraging augmented reality (AR) delivers an immediate hands-on experience regardless of where you are located. When you marry AR with remote support, your team has access to the expert knowledge of engineers and technicians who may be physically located at HQ. Still, these experts can connect remotely to the field service personnel at any offsite location anywhere in the world. The technical expert can see what the field service personnel is experiencing over live stream video. They can use 3D markers, audio, or text instructions, share files, and visually guide the technician on-site to the best solution, whether it’s troubleshooting or planning. The response is immediate and happens in real time.
To showcase the power of AR technology and the wide range of opportunities it offers, we invite guests to our Experience Showcase to view a life-size 3D model of a Mercedes F1 racing car via a mobile device or smart glass to inspect the inside of the car without physically being anywhere close to the real car.
