TeamViewer Remote Management was first developed and released in 2013 as the standalone solution, ITbrain, aimed at providing IT administrators with solutions that simplify and reduce the management of recurring IT services. Now released under the new name TeamViewer Remote Management, these services have been continually improved and enhanced. TeamViewer users can now test and purchase TeamViewer Remote Management directly in the management console.
Thanks to the unique modular structure of TeamViewer Remote Management, customers can purchase services that are individually tailored to their needs via the management console. The following services are offered:
Keep track of the stability and security of your IT infrastructure at both the hardware and software level proactively with the TeamViewer Monitoring service. Thanks to early recognition and notifications regarding potential problems, users will be able to stay one step ahead of issues and prevent costly downtime and data loss. TeamViewer Monitoring can check for example, the memory capacity and CPU utilization of the monitored devices, as well as the status of processes and the occurrence of certain events in the event log. Early diagnosis and troubleshooting can improve system uptime and increase end-user productivity.
To avoid shadow IT, IT managers need to keep track of all installed software and hardware. The TeamViewer Asset Management service provides administrators with information at a glance, such as the type, name and manufacturer of the hardware in use, the operating system, internal and external IP addresses, and the version of installed software. With TeamViewer Asset Management, a comprehensive report of the network inventory can be generated in seconds so that all relevant software and hardware information can be viewed and assessed.
The TeamViewer Endpoint Protection service safeguards devices against malware such as viruses, ransomware, Trojans, and rootkits both online and offline 24/7, with minimal installation effort. Once activated, the user does not have to worry about maintenance because TeamViewer Endpoint Protection is continually updated with new threat definitions and keeps itself up-to-date. The scope of protection can be adapted to individual requirements by defining specific guidelines for devices or entire device groups. Furthermore, TeamViewer Endpoint Protection has been awarded the VB100-Award by Virus Bulletin several years in a row, which affirms the high level of protection and reliability of this solution.
In order to prevent data loss, regular backups are necessary. Endpoints can also be backed up remotely using the TeamViewer Backup service. The data is secured in compliance with the highest security standards during transfer and storage in the cloud. TeamViewer Backup relies on the infrastructure of Amazon Web Services, so, should an emergency occur, individual backed-up files or an entire backup can be restored on site or remotely.
TeamViewer Remote Management offers a flexible pricing model where customers can purchase the services they really need. While the price for TeamViewer Backup is based on the amount of storage needed, the package price for the other services depends on the number of endpoints required, and can therefore be customized for individual needs.
