TeamViewer stands with Ukraine
We are deeply shocked and saddened by Russia’s horrific attack on Ukraine. As a global company, TeamViewer upholds the universal values of freedom and democracy, and we condemn any form of violence and aggression. TeamViewer acts in full compliance with all international sanctions. At the same time, we immediately suspended any new business activities in Russia and Belarus. In close coordination with industry partners and the competent authorities, we continue to monitor the situation very carefully.
In an effort to support Ukraine, TeamViewer is currently offering its products to all organizations within the country free of charge. Further, TeamViewer has granted all employees the option to take additional days of paid time off to actively support charitable work. In addition, TeamViewer donated more than 750,000 EUR to Red Cross organizations for humanitarian help on the ground.
TeamViewer’s connectivity solution is integrated into the professional aerial drones provided by SB C&S (SoftBank Commerce & Service). The software enables the real-time sharing of aerial video and audio streams captured by the drones’ cameras to multiple remotely connected devices. Commercial use cases for this technology include for example joint infrastructure inspections, as well as joint aerial inspection of disaster sites or other locations that are difficult to access.
TeamViewer announced that Microsoft customers can now purchase TeamViewer’s enterprise remote connectivity suite, TeamViewer Tensor, and its enterprise Augmented Reality (AR) platform, TeamViewer Frontline, through Microsoft Azure Marketplace and Microsoft AppSource. This gives companies an additional channel to buy TeamViewer solutions with existing Microsoft billing procedures.
Despite being a major buzzword over the past decades, the implementation of “Industry 4.0” is still at the very beginning in European companies. Only less than a quarter (23%) have started with the digital transformation of their production. This is the result of a survey of 1,452 corporate decision-makers in ten European countries, which was conducted by the market research institute YouGov on behalf of the Handelsblatt Research Institute and TeamViewer.
Ricoh, a global leading imaging and electronics company, has implemented TeamViewer’s remote connectivity software and the Augmented Reality (AR) based remote assistance solution to digitalize processes in technical customer support and employee training and onboarding in Japan. Since the first use case in 2019, Ricoh has subsequently realized more and more use cases with TeamViewer’s solutions and is constantly exploring additional ways to digitalize and simplify processes along its value chain with TeamViewer.
TeamViewers connectivity solution is enabling a new way of remote customer support for the Smart TVs produced by leading tech manufacturer Vestel. The company is one of the largest manufacturers of electronic devices and one of the top three global TV producers, including the production of TV sets for almost every major TV brand around the world. The agreement encompasses hundreds of thousands of Smart TV sets build by Vestel for the European market, that will be delivered with TeamViewer’s QuickSupport software pre-installed.
